Corsair iCUE Software
iCUE software has been available on the market for some time. Overall, the control panel has a minimalist feel even after the refresh made recently. I like that overall. The software displays connected Corsair devices in the top section of the interface.
In the configuration tab, you can select the key layout, polling rate, and lighting intensity, as well as update the firmware. You can set the 8000 Hz Polling Rate here (although there's a warning message that it needs from resources from the PC).
Corsair's K100 RGB has a 4,000Hz polling rate and the K65 RGB Mini takes it up to 8,000Hz, reporting every 0.125 ms. See it at Amazon That's remarkable and it's also fairly unnecessary. Just one more reason why the K65 RGB is one of the most advanced gaming keyboards the world has ever seen – you can set up any key to trigger a macro. The all-new Corsair Utility Engine (CUE) makes it easy. FPS, MOBA, or even Minecraft the K65 RGB has it covered. Fast and fluid RGB animation. The Corsair K65 LUX RGB is a good TKL mechanical keyboard for gaming. Its frame feels well-built and has minimal flex, but the ABS plastic keycaps feel a little cheap. It's comfortable to type on and comes with a magnetically-attachable wrist rest. You can set macros to any key and customize the RGB backlighting with the iCUE software.
The Corsair K65 RGB Mini is a totally different proposition from Corsair. Yes, there were other K65's in the past. Yes, it’s a mechanical keyboard with RGB, but this time it comes in a small. Open up Device Manager. Locate and expand Human interface devices. Locate Corsair composite virtual input devices. Right-click Corsair composite virtual input devices and select uninstall devices. Click the checkbox to delete drivers.
iCUE has good lighting and macro-programming controls. You can program macros and assign them to less frequently used keys, and you can also adjust key assignments.
As for the main feature (lighting), there are many pre-configured effects, but if you dive into iCUE, you can set up your own profiles matching your favorite games. If you want to set the keyboard to a single colour, you can do that in no time. Setting up more complex configurations takes a bit longer, but the K65 RGB MINI can now store your custom settings in one of the profiles, and there’s a shortcut button (with Fn) for cycling through them. There’s also the option to save the profiles on your computer. You can link each of them with specific games/programs, too.
Let’s not forget that you can also synchronize the effects with other Corsair RGB stuff that is compatible with iCUE, like the ST100 headset stand or the LS100 Monitor RGB system.
On this iteration of 'Will it work?', I will be doing a review of the Corsair K65 RGB Mechanical Keyboard. A rather nice compact keyboard for gaming.

The Corsair K65 is a ten-keyless keyboard. Meaning that it does not have the Numpad as a full-size keyboard would have. Thus, putting it in the compact keyboard segment.
The Corsair K65 is built with Aircraft-Grade Black Anodized Brushed Aluminum. It is a fancy way of saying that it is built with a light-weight, rugged aluminum painted black. The Corsair K65, however, does look rather fancy, and though I do not consider it 'light-weight', it does feel rugged and sturdy compared to other plastic mechanical keyboards I have owned.
The Corsair K65 also includes volume buttons at the top of the keyboard, along with an RGB light dimmer, and a Windows Key lock button. A standard for most gaming keyboards.
The Corsair K65 comes with Cherry MX Red key switches, giving you that satisfying mechanical keyboard clicking noise when typing. It also delivers smooth, linear keystroke responses, allowing you to never mess up a keystroke while gaming!
There is also a detachable soft-touch wrist rest that comes with the K65. This is perfect for ergonomics, however, if it gets in your way, you can easily detach it without any issue!

The Corsair K65, as mentioned previously, has Cherry MX Red Key Switches. This allows for 100% Anti-Ghosting when inputting keystrokes with this keyboard. Perfect for gaming, and amazing for typing!

No matter what, you can expect the Corsair K65 to deliver accurate keystrokes in response to your actions, no matter how fast you type.
Customization

It would not be a gaming keyboard without that sweet, sweet RGB lighting. Well, do not fret, this Corsair K65 has fluid RGB lighting for all keys on the keyboard, including the multimedia buttons on the top of the keyboard.
Using the iCUE software, you can manage the RGB lighting, as well as customize every key on the keyboard to your liking. Set your favorite macros to make gaming easier with the Corsair K65.
The Corsair K65 also has onboard memory, and thus you can customize your keyboard, and take it on the go with you without needing to open the iCUE software. Perfect if you end up having to use USB 2.0 ports on the Shadow Ghost, or any other Linux/android/mac device that is unable to load the iCUE software.
Using it with Shadow
Shadow Client (Windows)
The way the Shadow client is designed, your keyboard inputs are emulated from the host PC into your Shadow PC. This means, that as long as your keyboard is working on your host PC, they will work perfectly fine on your Shadow PC.

However, you need to know that your host PC will need to have the iCUE software installed if you would like to customize the RGB lighting or macros of each key. Your Shadow will not pick up the keyboard if you install the iCUE software on there unless you use USB-over-IP.
Shadow Ghost
The Corsair K65 will work without issue on the Shadow Ghost. If you would like to install iCUE on your Shadow and customize your keyboard, you will need to make sure you use a USB 3.0 port for your Corsair K65.
If you do not mind setting your keyboard up on a separate computer, and then saving your settings to the Corsair K65's memory, then you can use a USB 2.0 port without any issue. Do note, that the Corsair K65 requires 2x 2.0 USB ports, or 1x 3.0 USB ports. So, that may help you make your decision.
Final Thoughts
The Corsair K65 is my daily driver. I came from a Razer Blackwidow, which had a build quality that was left to be desired. I have been using the Corsair K65 for close to 3 years now, and it has not once had any issues.
I highly recommend this keyboard if you are looking for a tenkeyless keyboard of decent quality, though it is on the more expensive side. But, it will last you quite a while, unless you abuse it a lot (but that is with almost everything).
Because I mainly use Corsair products, using the Corsair K65 with my Corsair Scimitar Pro (you can check out my review here) with the iCUE software is rather convenient. I swap between USB 3.0/2.0 ports for both of them and utilize the onboard memory of each device after configurations are finished. This allows me to use the USB 3.0 ports on my Shadow Ghost for my headphones and/or Microphone when needed.
